The group started in April, 2008, and has grown to over 750 members.  In December, 2008, we filed as a nonprofit corporation.

Key elements of our Articles of Incorporation:

1. The Corporation is a mutually supportive community initiative designed to accelerate the pace of entrepreneurship.  It brings together entrepreneurs, energizes relationships, and bridges institutional and geographical barriers between business, educational and government entities.
2. The Corporation is also designed as a learning environment or laboratory where new models for catalyzing the rapid emergence and advancement of new businesses can be explored. 
3. A core value of the Corporation is the encouragement for businesses to adopt a “triple bottom line” philosophy, in which the need for profit is balanced with a sensitivity to the impact on society and the planet.
